Mom Moments

Its a sad state of affairs when you realize your daughter (age nine) wears the same size 5 1/2 shoe as your best friend (age not disclosed – - what kind of a friend does that?!).

Its even worse when you tell your friend this, and when comparing feet the friend says to your daughter, “I hate to say this but you’re pushing a size six there.”

Now there is nothing at all wrong with this.  My daughter will not be embarrassed by her huge feet.  In fact, it would be embarassing to have small feet and tip over because your lovely but small feet do not support being six foot tall!

So as I try to be a positive role model of big feet, it gets even worser yet when the shoe guy confirms that if my feet were to get any bigger, I would in fact be relegated to man shoe territory.

And I didn’t see a lot of patent leather and pretty pink over there on the guy side.
