So it’s more or less official: I’m a master’s graduate student! Next step: Ph.D!

Graduation day!

I’m graduating today! My MA from Eastern is finally done (sans one writing project, eep). And it’s a beautiful day, too! Wahoo!

Sorry I have been missing in action lately. I’m finishing my my Masters this semester - well, this week to be honest! - and have been consumed with things between that and work. I’ve forgotten that I work full-time and am taking a full-term load this semester so I can finish on time. As long as I can get through this week, I will be ok.

As a break from writing the 30 pages I have due next week, Ryan and I went to Crafts 2000 to get a painting we bought in Ecuador framed. We found a lovely frame that suits its rusticness perfectly and it was very affordable. The woman in front of us was picking up her framed work and was absolutely tickled with how fantastic it turned out, so I can’t wait to get ours back. In fact, I was eyeing the canvases and paints, wondering if I might try my artistic hand at painting this summer. I’m such a sucker for school that even in the midst of school chaos, I’m STILL thinking about “classes” to take. What a nerd!

Study break is over. Hopefully after next Sunday life will be back to normal. My mother-in-law is coming on Thursday and grandma is flying in on Wednesday; graduation is on Sunday, I took Friday off, and Saturday is an all-day workshop in Detroit for the National Writing Project I am doing at Wayne State. This Monday I have an Excel course in the evening and the following Monday is a full-day inservice at work, too. Whoa.
