Busy bees

September is a crazy month - school starts both at the k-12 level and collegiate level. The first few weeks are always filled with chaos and vain attempts to form structure. I’ve been swamped this year and have about 35 kids in each section which means more of everything. On top of work I started my phd work this term, am presenting at my first state wide conference, am taking two weekend trips this month alone, and eddie began puppy classes. He is, of course, as cute and fun as ever. :)

Puppy sitter?

Thursday, September 18th, 2008

Most people get puppy sitters when they’re away from home; I’m tempted to get a puppy sitter when I’m home so I can get some stuff done! Eddie likes to chew on my papers as I grade them (or my book as I read for class, he has no preference) and it’s obviously hard to work like that. It’s tempting to hire someone to help me with him (though he is absolutely adorable all on his own).

Celebrity spotted in Monroe!

Ty Pennington, from Extreme Home Makeover. Turns out he ran out of gas and a local mother/daughter duo helped him out. Check out the article at the MEN. I’m jealous!
