Not from around here

So we are moving. We close on our new house in Canton in mid-December. We are going to try (fingers crossed) to sell our Monroe house here in Detroit Beach. The market, of course, is not very promising so we may end up renting. If you know of anyone wanting to rent a cute, 3 bedroom, 2 bath, fenced yard, 2.5 car garage house, let me know.

I’m sad to leave some local services I love. Country Creek vet, for one, where I really know they love my dogs. I’m also bummed to  be leaving the first hair dresser in my life that I have faithfully gone to because I like her so much, but as I posted about before, I have no qualms about driving 30 minutes for a hair cut since I drive 75 minutes for a dental exam and 70 for an eye exam.

I will miss country roads, less traffic, and using my high beams at night. I’ll miss Rendezvous, Pete’s, and Michigan Bar and Grill. I’ll miss other things, too, as the time comes closer.

Blog confusion: I don’t know why, but often I post blog entries and they don’t appear. If I refresh the site, it’s sometimes there, sometimes isn’t. It’s listed as published but not actually published. So, if it looks like I haven’t posted since September, I have, the entries are just MIA.

Moving: We are moving. We are selling our Monroe house. We bought a house in Canton. I’m happy, but a part of me is sad about leaving here just two years after we’ve moved here. More to come.
