Not from around here

This is me and, well, I’m not from around here. One day I’ll consider myself “from here”…but I’ve got lots to learn before then!

I was raised in Oakland County, where life is pretty different than here. My husband and I bought our first house in Monroe in August of 2006 and have since been attempting to nagivate our new life here despite a few traffic tickets (his issue, not mine!) and a lack of Starbucks (my issue, not his). Each day brings new challenges, from figuring out how to avoid getting stuck by a train to establishing new favorite hangouts.

It’s also important to note that I am a Wolverine in what is sometimes territory too close to Buckeye territory.

This blog is as much mine as it is my husband’s and our two bulldogs, Henry and Annie. They’re all new to Monroe, too, and trying to make “heads or tails” of a dog’s life around here is up to them!
