In honor of Van Halen’s show tonight at “The Joe,” here’s a painfully funny expose of a recent in-concert backing track snafu during “Jump.”  You wonder why they wouldn’t just go ahead and hire a dude to play keyboards under or off-stage.

During the run-up to last week’s release of Magic, speculation was running rampant that Springsteen’d be the halftime act at the next Super Bowl; this site’s claiming, though, that the Eagles are booked.

Trailer for (what I thought was slated as a theatrical release but now appears to be a Best Buy DVD exclusive after a one-night run at the picture show) Running Down A Dream, an extensive docu on the criminally underrated and/or taken for granted Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. Looks groove-tastic. Yo, yo–mild language warning.

If this is what it looks like, may the foul fiend who kicked poor Chairy to the curb find himself gazing at the business end of Cowboy Curtis’s six-shooters.  (I know–Cowboy Curtis didn’t pack heat.  Artistic license?)
