Overheard in the newsroom: baby-eating Dingells
Overheard:”What kind of story would I have to write in order to use the headline ‘Maybe the Dingell Ate Your Baby’? I’ve been dying to come up with something.”

This reminds me of a discussion I had before a class at CMU in 2004. We were talking about how the next smeer tactic would be accusations of baby eating.
The best line was, “Joe Lieberman doesn’t eat babies on Saturday.”

Are you trying to imply that he eats them every other day of the week? What about the candidates now – who are the most likely baby eaters?
