A sign of normal life: children playing
Did you drive by Riverside Elementary School Friday evening in Monroe, Mich.? Did you notice the smiles and laughter from the children eating cotton candy at a school carnival?
I did.
Did you drive by Munson Park Friday evening in Monroe, Mich.? Did you see the children climbing all over the huge Playscape?
I did.
These signs of everyday life and laughter among children are taking place in a city where a 5-year-old girl has been missing for several days.
But the other children in Monroe are still allowed to have fun.
Please, let them do just that.
If you feel need to watch the children more carefully, that’s fine.
But don’t take their childhood away.
