Updates from Nevaeh volunteer headquarters

I got some updates today, after the Monroe Evening News went to press, during a visit to volunteer headquarters for the Nevaeh Buchanan case.

I posted the details on the MonroeTalks Amber Alert thread, which has literally thousands of views, and here’s a recap:

  • Next prayer vigil is 9 p.m. Wednesday June 3 at Charlotte Arms courtyard. (In the meantime, click back one post to see the pretty prayer boxes).
  • T-shirt details: Many of you have seen the Nevaeh sticker designed by Matt Elliott of Monroe Vinyl Graphics. It has a pink background, Nevaeh’s photo, and yellow ribbon. Inkorporate Graphics in Westland has turned that design into a T-shirt. There will be daily deliveries of the shirt for as long as demand is there. You can buy them for $5 at the Charlotte Arms clubhouse. The first 100 shirts were donated, according to the volunteer committee. Any profits from the sale of additional shirts will go to Nevaeh’s fund at Education Plus Credit Union.
  • Amber Alert fliers have been taken to, or are en route today, to: Romulus, Redford, Flint, Howell, Garden City, Westland, Toledo, Maumee and Sylvania.
