Many folks don’t know how close the people of the state came from paying 50% more for buying or renewing their vehicle plates starting January 1, 2009. Luckily it didn’t pass in time before the state’s congress went on holiday.
This is yet another attempt to pass on the costs of the good governor’s mismanagement of the state’s funds. She attempted a similar coup with the sportsmen and women of the state last year with the ridiculous license fee increases. Those who enjoy the state’s great outdoors stood up then, contacted their representatives and the bill was defeated.
If you don’t want to be half again as much the next time you visit the secratary of state, its time to get on the phone again, or email if you wish, and let your Reps know this is not acceptable.
