Its sad but true that the President probably did make a 3 am wake up call in the last few days as North Korea has exploded two nuclear bombs and now has launched two more rockets. Looks like the bidding is now open to any terrorist nation willing to pay up to bail out NK’s economic needs. Hello Iran?
I was just watching a show on PBS, called “Hallowed Ground”. It was all about American veterans buried overseas around the world. Many near they places the died while serving in foreign wars. I was impressed to learn of an organization in France called, “Thanks GI’s”.
Its a museum all about the Americans who served, and died while fighting for the liberty that France enjoys today. In times where people are apologizing for American deeds, that there is an organization that celebrates the sacrifice made by an entire generation of America’s youth. Its a good read and a better story.
From around the world, you will find our soldiers buried who fought to keep the world free from tyranny. Everyone knows of someone who has fought for our country, for me it was my Great Uncle “Scoop”. As a medic he landed on the beaches of Normandy, and later served in a M*A*S*H* during Korea, and retired in 1968, all under an assumed name.
You see, before World War II started, he tried to re-enlist, but was told he was too old. He “borrowed” my younger great uncle’s birth certificate. Everyone has a story like this, remember them this day.
The globe is cooling to such a degree that the liberal scientists had to change the name to “climate change”. Its a shame that Obama is willing to put thousands associated in the auto industry out of work based on bogus findings by those who perpetuate a myth in order to get paid.
As if the auto industry doesn’t have enough on their plate right now, the federal government is pushing for an average 35 mpg standard to be in place by 2016, a full four years sooner than was mandated under President Bush. Obama will say that this is what Americans want, and that’s why car sales are so far down.
Its the same ol’ same from him, take advantage of any crisis/opportunity to push his far left agenda. This all goes back to the housing crisis created by lending forced upon the banks by Clinton, ignored by Bush and perpetuated by Barney Frank, Chris Dodd and Obama himself. The top three recipients of campaign donations by Freddie and Fannie.
When people are forced to decide between a new car and keeping a roof over their heads, their money will be spent on the homes. Americans don’t want to be forced to drive tiny cute/ugly Euro style vehicles. They want their trucks, crossovers and suv’s. They want you to drill now while you look for new technology. Not force unproven wasteful tech on us while gas prices soar because they refuse to drill and use coal and natural gas.

They want to raise your taxes on fuel to keep the price around $4 dollars a gallon, and force you to drive these tiny, wasteful, unsafe vehicles. Wasteful because you have to produce electricity somewhere to plug the lil’ things in at night, environmentally unfriendly because of the batteries they use up at increased rate, where do they plan on disposing these things?
I heard somewhere this weekend that Nancy Pelosi was the “gift that just keeps on giving”. I thought we already have the Vice-President Joe Biden with that crown, and then the next day almost on cue good ol’ Joe does it again. If I believed in conspiracy theories, I would say Obama told Biden to provide the media with his latest blunder in order to take some of the heat off of Pelosi.
I think its more of Biden wanting to impress people when he says these incredibly stupid things, his latest being a doozy that will cost American tax payers millions of dollars. He told people who attended the annual Gridiron Dinner in DC where the Vice Presidential Secret Bunker is located. While the President would be ushered to Air Force One in case of an emergency, the VP would go underground during such an event.
Now that the blabbering VP has struck again, it will cost Americans millions to replace the bunker with a new secure facility. The scary thing about all of this leads back to the President himself. Because of his overall lack of experience in government, Obama picked Biden for the backup job because he was the best and brightest that the Democrats had in the area of foreign affairs. Seriously? They had no one better in that field of “expertise”.
Biden might be able to spell “potato”, but he makes Dan Quayle look like a genius!
Right now Michigan car and truck owners pay 37 cents per gallon of gas in state and federal taxes, before the sales tax of 6% is added on. At 2.50 a gallon, that is an additional 15 cents for a total of 52 cents per gallon at the pump. Now the Governor wants to support a new tax that would place a cap at 34 cents just in state taxes. That would raise the total tax bill to over 67 cents per gallon. There are only 10 other states in the Union who charge more than Michigan already, this would push us into the top five.
In addition, get ready to pay more at the Sec. of State office the next time your birthday rolls around. They want to add an additional 25 dollar fee to your license cost. That’s not all, they want to place up to 10 to 20% higher fees on your vehicle registration.
Gee what happened to the shovel ready projects coming out of Obama’s stimulus bill. That’s right, its gone to wasteful fantasy energy plans and some Wayne State professor studying whores in China.
Fritz Henderson, the CEO of GM will be on the Glenn Beck show tonight. The Fox News program airs at 5 pm Monday through Friday. It will be interesting to see what Mr. Henderson has to say, and what questions that will be asked of him for that matter.
Watching the train wreck that is Nancy Pelosi is truly sad, and the best outcome would be that she either steps down or is impeached. Most news organizations are reporting that the Republicans are going after her hard, but one thing is missing from the reports is the amount of support she has from her Democratic colleagues. That is because there is none, nobody wants to be associated with her in this mess, except maybe Jane Harmon another Dem from California. Only because this person actually wrote about her concerns and passed this information on to the appropriate higher ups. Its her way of getting back at Pelosi for being fully aware that Harmon was under investigation and being wiretapped by the NSAin a pay for play scandal with Israeli agents so she could become chair of the intelligence committee.
In Pelosi’s case, her only response at the time was “Is this enough?”. She was caught red, or blue handed knowing all about the “enhanced tactics”. Now the flock is leaving her side in droves.
Now she says that the CIA mislead her, that they do it all the time. First it was, and she repeats, we were not told of water boarding, then it was we were told, but not being told it was being used, but could be used. Somewhere on TV this morning this was said, people get lead away in straight jackets for rambling like this. Its the old conspiracy theory run a muck.
