Terrorists in Standish/More Health Care

Wednesday, August 12th, 2009

I just heard this on the news, in what is probably a Granholm grab at more federal dollars, the feds are heading to Standish, Michigan to inspect one of the state prisons for the possibility of housing Gitmo detainees.  This is typical of our Governor, she has no idea what she is doing with our economy, so to infuse more bucks into the state coffers she is willing to do what the rest of the country refuses to even consider.

Health Care thoughts:

President Obama spoke of large pools of insurance options that would be available to the people under the plans coming out of the senate and house.  Seriously, how large will these pools really be if the Democrats refuse to allow interstate competition between insurance companies in their bills.  You would get what we have already, with the cheaper government option driving the private companies out of  the business.

All of a sudden the ins. companies are the bad guys, this is what is being said to try and convince folks that this resulting legislation will be the cure all to end all.  If they really are the evil force behind the opposition, why would they not be allowed to compete to drive prices down?  Could it be because its the Dems who are in the hip pocket of big insurance and not the other way around?

John and Debbie Dingell in Romulus/WJR/YouTube

Friday, August 7th, 2009

It seems in this every modern day of video cell phones nothing goes uncovered.    I will say this about the congressman, there were so many people last night, that they held two town hall meetings to accommodate all the folks that showed up to voice their opinion on Obama’s Health Care Plan.

If you heard his response to the questions last night on Frank Beckman this morning, you could tell he did not expect this type of response from a district that has voted him into office all these past years.  Dingell has to realize that times are “change” ing.  No longer will people simply pull the Democrat lever in the poll booth and blindly elect their officials the next time out.  The people will remember who voted on what, who followed the party line with Obama, and they will be in for a rude awakening come election time.

We are simply people worried about what is happening to this nation, and the direction it is being forced upon us by people who we elected, but refuse to listen to us.  We will not be intimidated by thugs at town hall meetings, who were brought in simply to “police” any dissenting view points.  In the last couple of days the elderly have been pushed around, and one conservative African American, who simply wanted to ask some deserving questions was sent to the hospital for his injuries he received because of it.

We are not hired by one party or another like ACORN, we are not the Nazis that Nancy Pelosi claims are coming to these meetings. Seriously has anyone seen one such flag at any of these events?  Its the CIA all over again, and Pelosi is making crap up, as fast as it will fly out of her mouth.  People are just not going to believe everything that is reported by  news commentators who get a thrill down their leg at the mention of Obama.

Debbie Dingell  :  I love the question off the bat about the Dems throwing him out of his chairmanship.

John Dingell :  Except for somone in the front row, the people that are standing up do not look like radicals, they don’t have fancy group t-shirts, they look like our neighbors.  Concerned about their future health care needs.

Obama-care: What will Kill It

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

Now that it appears that a version of the Health Care Bill will come out of California Rep. Henry Waxman’s committee, the one that Dingel presided over until he was ousted by Pelosi in favor of Waxman.  The August recess has begun and our Congressional members are heading home to talk to the people.  They have been encouraged by President Obama to hold town hall meetings to go over details of the bill, trying to gain favor for it.

This is exactly what will kill this bill; not the Republicans, nor conservative Blue Dog Dems, not even the insurance industry, but it will be the people who drive the final blow against it. You have seen it already at the meetings being held early during the recess.  Spector got an earful, and his meeting was not the only one.

The people, the same ones that Obama talked about in San Francisco before the election, but then we were only gun toting, bible hugging nuts.  This time its the elderly who want to know why they are destroying medicaid and medicare.  Why their benefits are going to be taxed after Obama laughed McCain out of the room for even suggesting it?  The parents that are worried whether they will get the care they need for their infants, or will it take months before they get their needed treatments.

Not that we can politically change their minds, but we have a chance to make Debbie Stabenow and John Dingell to seriously think about their chances of re-election their next time out.

You can voice your opinions to John Dingell up in Romulus.  He has been whipped worse than the family pig, by his own party.  Its a shame too, once upon a time Dingell could have described as the first Blue Dog,  I voted for him many years in a row, and respected his vision on gun rights, but no longer.
