It has been a week of surprises in District basketball tournaments. Monroe, the Region’s best team, lost its first tournament game. So did St. Mary Catholic Central, which was the Region’s hottest team at the close of the regular season. Dundee, which won only two games during the regular season, is in the Class C District finals. That’s part of the madness that makes the tournament so interesting.
