So the Detroit Pistons now know their foe for the Eastern Conference finals.
They will take on LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in a rematch of last year’s semifinals where Cleveland stretched Detroit to seven games. We could have a nice little rivalry brewing here with a young Cleveland team trying to claw their way past the Pistons, who will be playing in the conference finals for the fifth straight year.
Some people have told me they get sick of the constant attention paid to James. But that really doesn’t bother me. He deserves it. For all the pressure he endured coming into the league as perhaps the most heralded high school player ever, he has remained amazingly well grounded.
For some reason the guy who bugs me is Anderson Varejao. Maybe it is the wild hair or his aggressive style, but for some reason he rubs me the wrong way.
Is there are player on the Cavs, the Pistons or any other team that you love to hate?

This is truly an unpopular answer but I cannot stand Tim Duncan of the Spurs. I get so tired of every single announcer pouring all their love on him. He acts like he never fouls anyone and when he is called for a foul he whines and moans and groans like a baby and the announcers just cannot believe that a foul is actually called on Duncan. I hope that they lose to the Jazz so the Pistons don’t have to play them once we finish off the Cavs. Duncan isn’t the only one, Ginobli, and Parker are all cry babies. Like I said, I am in the minority because I think that the NBA just loves the Spurs…I am sure that is who they want to win the championship and they will probably see that it happens…no matter how good the Pistons play. Cynical? Probably, but I can see it coming!
Oh, and I know why you don’t like Varejao. Yes, his wild hair is awful but isn’t he the guy who got in Wallace’s face and was ejected? I was glad to see it was Varejao who was ejected or Teed-up…a refreshing change from picking on Sheed! That’s why he bugs you…that and his sloppy playing. LOL
