Wow ~ the first 4 games are going to be huge for Whiteford other than AAGH's. Dundee, Clinton and Wlake will be big games going into the holiday break.

Whiteford boys and the girl’s teams are going to be exciting this year.

I haven't gone through the info yet but I believe (going on memory only) Paul Welly has the takedown record -- but I'll keep researching.
Actually, Bruce had his pin in :07 -- that broke the previous record of 13 seconds, held by Chuck Donnelly.

Bruce must have broke the late Tom Long's record. I thought he had the quickest pin record at one time.
Wrestling was big back in the late 70's and early 80's.
1982 had two State Champions in Tim Sieler and Paul Welly as well as Brad Beck and Rich Stone placing in state.
Doug, who has the most take downs in a season?
I'll need to pass this web site on to my brother Jerry.

Thanks Aaron for digging up this info.

Hey Doug, Aaron told me he found that binder. It's great to hear that you will be able to provide people with information about Whiteford wrestling. I had a great time as a young kid going and watching my brother as well as the likes of Steve LaRoy, Jim Welly, and Richard Sturdevant. I read that you want to be able to answer people's questions. If someone asks who has the quickest pin in school history, if my memory serves me right the answer is Bruce Ahleman with 7 secs. I think that it will be 24yrs. in 2010 since Whiteford has had a wrestling team. I look forward to see what you come up with because all of your statistical books are a great read.

Fastastic job Eric. It doesn't matter what type of school you attend. Getting 1000 receiving yards in one season in Class A or Class D is extremely difficult. You have made your school and community proud and hopefully caught the eye of a few college scouts along the way. It's been fun watching you on Friday nights. It would be even more exciting watching you on Saturdays. Keep up the great work in school and on the field and GO BULLDOGS.
