Thrifty

thriftshopper.jpgTheThriftShopper.com is a thrift store community. Search for thrift stores in your neighborhood, or find some in other cities. Join the community to discuss thrift shopping. Pretty useful site if you’re a thrifter like me.

Speaking of thrifty – here are a few other free sites/services:

GoodReads.com – find a good book in this book community site. Even better, check out this blog for the 10 best places to get free books.

Feel like writing a ransom note, but are just too lazy to cut out all of the letters? Look no further – Ransome note editor!

Google 411
– Google just launched a free voice search 411 service. Dial 1-800-GOOG-411. Follow the prompts. I just tried it – and said Mugsy’s in Monroe, MI. It found Mugsy’s, and offered to connect me for free. You better believe I’m keeping this programmd in my phone!

Personality Test – I rarely take the time to do these, but I gave this a try and wow it came out right on. Very cool – and FREE! I especially liked the ajaxy tools used to take the test.

SlickDeals.net – I’ve probably mentioned this site before, but if you didn’t check it out last time, be sure to this time. Daily posts of nothing but slick deals!

Hey Rob… google also just launched MyMaps…

You’ll have fun with it I promise. I’m already making my own with all my favorite places, one of which includes the good ole’ Evening News. You can make them public, or private and attach things like photos and videos. It’s pretty cool.

    Here’s my test map.

I read a bit on the MyMaps – I still have to try it out. I think i’ll make one of all the breweries I like to visit in Michigan. :)

The survey is killer! It was fun to take – i hope everyone adapts that concept of surveys.. very slick.
