You can set it up so that certain people can’t be off at the same time. Wednesday, August 8th, 2007Book rentals; same concept as Netflix

BookSwim.com – rent books just like renting DVD’s from Netflix. Choose from over 150,000 titles. Prices start at $19.99 for 3 books a month.
Interesting concept if you’re a read-a-holic. Of course, my guess is that the library has over 150,000 titles too. If you’re impatient though, and want a specific book now, Bookswim is for you!

Monday, August 6th, 2007I’ve been using both of these websites for the past week, and can’t decide which I like better. Both rock for finding free mp3’s to listen to.

The Hype Machine searches mp3’s that are found in various blogs throughout the internet. Not only does it find the mp3’s, but it opens up a player, that lists all songs by this artist. I typed in Grateful Dead today, and chose a song to listen to, and the play popped up with about 30 Dead songs – playing the one I chose first. The search also displays videos from YouTube.

Seeqpood is like the replacement for the old SingingFish.com, which was taken over by AOL. Type in the name of a band and a list of music files will appear. You can then add them to your playlist one at a time and listen until your hearts content. I haven’t figured out a way to download these mp3 files yet, but listening to them is fine with me.
Enjoy!
